Thanks Hayseed for helping Swishy, just in case he get's it wrong given there is more than ten.
We have 17 axles widened to 4.20 metres our maximum weight at this width in SA is 14 tonne per axle, the Substation weighed 180 tonnes and our trailer weighs 3,400 kgs per axle line we therefore had a little bit to spare, someone may ask what about the chains and tensioners, well you can't think of everything.
The trailer has 700 mm of suspension travel and on one very difficult intersection we had 4 axles stroke out while the front and back were compressed right up. Rex
