I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Hello 1950Beddy,
Welcome to the forum.
Your Bedford looks to be in very good general condition. It should be a straight forward restoration.
You can expect any vehicle that has hydraulic brakes to need them overhauled and any truck you buy to need a new tray.
There are plenty of Beddy enthusiasts here who should be able to help with information and maybe parts.
What part of the world are you in? I have clues to brake and other suppliers in and south of Melbourne but no use to you if you are a million miles away.

Welcome Chris
Should be all doable and brake parts and the like can be rebuilt
Get things like wheel cylinders and master cylinders stainless sleeved as they will last a lot longer with the minimal use it will get
Keep us posted

There have been quite a few Bedford projects on here, but for starters trawl back though the A for Austin thread and all will be revealed.
The Bedford trucks introduced in 1949 (design dates from 1939 and before) were 'K' 30 cwt, 'M' 3 ton, and 'O' 5 ton. Yours has the more common Holden cab based on Chev pressings. Bonnet and wings are pommy.
Yours looks very complete and straight so should be good.

Should be an aluminium tag with numbers on. One will be the paint code. I have been able to find most of them in an old Dulux book I have.
