While looking for stuff for Colin's wheat stack thread on Tractors I came across enough truck stuff for their own thread.

Some of these machines are seriously overloaded!

This is said to be he very first experimental bulk wheat truck in WA in the 20's

...Jeeeez ..imagine how much grog these blokes would've drunk after a hard days slog.....no wonder there's bugger all country pubs left :(

Ray my old man still used pipes to tension up his ring ropes on his loads of wool up til about 6 or 7 years ago

Those cues lined up in some of those photos, I wonder if they knew who went next , There is a lot of old photos out there to be found, keep digging them out Lang if time permits, good stuff. 8-) 8-) 8-) In one of those it looks like the local constable is checking out the tyre on one of the trucks. Tooths Sheaf Stout keep you ????? 1st photo

Copper is probably there to answer your question - to stop punch-ups in the queue.

The AMP (Australian Motorists Petrol - changed to AMPOL post war) sign dates the photo about 1937

Detective, I started the second thread thinking the trucks would be stand-alone. As usual things have drifted. Happy to combine if a moderator can do it and Colin agrees.
