The title says it's a Fordson Prototype, Ford's first heavy duty 2 ton truck.

Lang,
How could you possibly suggest that Morris would make anything so ugly? I think it is a Ford.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Looks like it was put together, with what ever parts were left over, at the end of the week.

You may be right. Looks like the engine man was away and the radiator man just bolted it up under the windscreen. Boy, was it quiet but did not go anywhere.

Totally pointless exercise. I thought the idea of a cab-over design was to shift the whole wheelhouse forward to get a bigger cargo area on the same length vehicle.

Well, it was built by Ford, and in the UK to boot.

Hayseed that write-up looks pretty dodgy to me. I think maybe the journalist has jumped on the Fordson tractor name - there is little here to confirm an association - and missed the UK Fordson use. It looks very pommie to me but as usual I can easily be wrong.

No does not seem to have a UK connection so far.

The Poms must have got excited about the style.

Hi,

the Americans are claiming it as theirs and according to the Fordson wiki page they were building Fordson in the US in 1926, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordson

Fordson production took place in the U.S. (1917–1928); Cork, Ireland (1919–1923 and 1928–1933); and at Dagenham, Essex, England (1933–1964)

As far as I know both Cork and Dagenham were tractors only.
