Alice Springs - Anyone need a ride there? was created by Cunning Stunt
I have a mate who I saw today and he owns a fairly large private bus company in Sydney. He has often asked me about Alice and today suggested that he could organise a coach and do a tour with accomodation and food etc as a package.
He asked if I thought it would be worth it........what do you reckon?

While not wishing to rain on anyone's parade. SWagman Tours have taken out a pad ad in the Monitor (The newsletter of the HCVC) for a 15 day tour of the Birdsville Track, Red Centre, Hall of Fame Gala Dinner and reunion weekend. see
www.swagmantours.com.au
or phone 1800 808 491.
I wouldn't normally put a commercial operation on here but since they are paying the club that pays for this site I guess that is a valid exception. (or will I be banned as a spammer? )

My finger's getting itchy on the trigger, Bruce...
Seriously, though, bloody great idea for tour companies to be arrnaging such things. Low-stress travelling...

I must be getting old. I will take a (kero) burner any day and be there in about 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

I had heard that there was a company doing a two week tour and my mate is considering a two day out, two day back trip with three days at Alice. He is currently working out a price and I will let you know when he has done so.
In keeping with the forum rules you will be able to PM me for the price. Please understand that this isn't a promotion, more a service that he has offered to help the soft ones out there who are lacking the gonads required to DRIVE there trucks across
The coach will leave Sydney and will probably go via Dubbo.
