I was looking from the Carfax tower up High Street tinyurl.com/rosg2 , and dam there is some white buildings, and they clam the avg temp is about -3c over the next few day, what a nice winter day.

Roland I hope you don't get snowed in :)

going up to Echuca this weekend. Temps around 40oC. Sounds like time to move between the pool and the air con with a slurpy in hand when it gets too hot in the shed.

NO I don't want to swap weather - I hate the cold ;)

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Gday Shadow

Yes it is a bit unusual, even for over here.
I was walking down High Street a couple of days ago.
It looks different today :D

Just been out in the Beetle to get supplies from shop as the forecast is 4" more snow today, and then freeze down to as low as -14C over the next few days.
I will post more pics if it gets worse.

If we get snowed in ? Nothing I can do :)
This is what winter used to be like here 40 years ago.

Have a mate in Bristol and he reckons he'll be snowed in for a few days. Saw it coming so stocked up on supplies.

Yes, nothing new with this winter. This from 1978 and Robert Ritchie:

Gday all

Yes that is quite a pic from '78.
I was driving 100k each way to work that winter and saw snow that deep for weeks.
OK I know 100 k is not far by Oz standards , but it was in that snow.
Last night it was -8.6C here, and just 20k away it was -17.7C the lowest in the UK !
The snow is now turning to Ice and its getting difficult.

Anyone seen these in Oz ?

Yes I could not resist it :)

This pic is from last year but I have no doubt it is working hard again today.

Maggies are still used in many councils in the North of England and Scotland.
