Calendar of events
get n hard to keep up with wots on n where
B good to have a calendar with each event truck/machinery show Aust wide
May B a real on screen calendar with the dates 12 months ahead n wots on th@ weekend etc

just a thort

You could maybe have it flashing at the top in the news section in bigger/coloured writing, upcoming/onsoon etc. Just a thought.

There's nothing worse than organising an event to find out later it clashes with something else.

I also suggest that all motoring clubs be more transparent with their calendar of events to avoid such clashes and to attract more people to the events which would in turn, fund better events in the future. In the long term, I think it will bring people closer together and would always look forward to turn up to these events.

Please help me. I need Commer Parts

Probably best if we keep it under the Events section. How about all new events are made a sticky at the top of the Events page? They can stay there till they happen.

Will have to have basic info to qualify though like date (well, that would help), place and contact details of some sort for further info.

They will get out of sequence but we can make a duplicate and close it off to replies so it'll sit in its rightful spot on the sticky list. All the mods would have to do is keep an eye on the new events people post about.

Only an idea as JB knows what this system is capable of and the various add-ons you can do. Perhaps there's a calendar. If not, perhaps give the above a go.

there is a calendar of events on the main website www.hcvc.com.au maybe we could but a link direct to the calendar somewhere rather than duplicate efforts?

It has the events the club (or webmaster) has been notified about.

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

The forum has no provision for a calendar.

Either as bparo idea. Or if someone else has time to compile a list/calendar I would be happy to make such a post a sticky to keep it at the top.

But I don't think another section would assist as this is the intention of the event area. To notify of upcoming but also to report on past events.
