And another one bites the dust! was created by craigs
Last friday was the last day for Rightway Express. Only Melbourne and Sydney offices as the other states had been amalgamated into TNT. Rightway's laverton depot has now closed and the drivers split between TNT Laverton, Campbellfield and Hallam.

$200 million was just the payment for the failed purchase - kinda like UPS lost their deposit!
DD, history shows that as a few big companies consolidate it creates opportunites for small to medium size operators.
Some customers are too small to warrant the attention of the Tolls, some customers prefer a more personal type of service, etc, etc. Toll have long had a problem retaining all the business they acquire through take-overs.

...well put Jimbo .. in the heyday of the 1960's there was Ansett, Mayne Nickless, Brambles, Alltrans/TNT, and a couple more large public listed companies all carving it out in the road transport scene in Australia....
...where are they all now?........
