- Topic Author
? Are they repainted before being sold
? Do they get scraped.
Just wondering.

They don't die. They become body trucks and water carts and work close to home before becoming farm trucks.Just wondering what happens to all the modern fleet trucks like Fox, Kalari, Scotts etc, etc. As you never see any of them for sale with all the signage on them or colours.

All stickers etc are removed then they sit around for months and one day they disappear :'( :'(
We do the same with all our equipment all markings are removed signage painted over or curtians removed and they are then sent off to auction...

A lot of the big fleets either lease them or buy them with garaunteed buy back price and maintenance package. Not like the old days where they buy a truck and keep it forever. 5 years is a long time for a new truck.

My brother subbied for Linfox and they wouldn't let him even put an old mudflap on back the front.

All Linfox/Tolls trucks are painted before there re-sold again. There usually bought by dealers who put a cheap tipper on them and sold.

I wonder why any self respecting od would want a linfox name anywhere near their truck, considering what LF has done to the industry.
