Thats correct ol mate..
Malcolm Moore 'Roadmaster'
i can have a look but i think its 1951
Build number 17
His heart is removed at present..
Did a timing gear, with a resultant broken crank..
Thats why he was goin on the boat ride..
L4 perkins, tapered nose crank (hyd. pump mounts at the front)
Although not the reason for the post..
(i've never seen another one like him yet.....)
So if anyone in a reasonable raduis of Victoria has an L4 with a tapered crank or parts to suit....there could be a cash exchange..
I won't post in the wanteds yet, i will see what this thread brings..
thanks

Interesting old jigga, Chocs. I can't find any details on a MM Roadmaster with tandem drive and L4 power. The MM Roadmaster ads of 1950 show a single drive grader with P6 Perkins power or Fordson Kero power.
I have seen an MM grader identical to yours somewhere, but can't recall where now. Maybe the L4 was a transplant?
The 4.270 is the improved version of the L4 with direct injection and CAV rotary injection pump. The crank is interchangeable with the L4.
However, trying to find useable L4 or 4.270 parts, or a tapered nose crank engine, will be a bit of a hunt. Good luck.
