Does anyone have gear ratio info on this Russian tractor.
It's called a Universal Farmliner, 800DT.
Big bitch, 80hp Fiat engine, front wheel assist.
4-speed box plus a high/low range, but it feels like it's only got 1st and 4th in the main box.
2nd and 3rd feel the same speed as first, so it's either crawling or it's off like a bullet.
Previous owners have worked on this thing, it's a real mess but I can't see how they could stuff up the selectors.

i thought UTB were a "gypsy" tracor . . . made in Romania ... last one i drove was a farmliner 445 back in the early 90s .. it seemed to do the same thing .. you really had to make sure the high and low lever was in position or it would be stuck in "ultralow"

Here it is, yep Romania on the spec plate.
A big lump of a thing, those front wheels are 24".
Bought it 10 years back as a front end loader and quickly ditched all the modified junk.
What a mess.

they actually have a good name .. also i think they are a copy of fiat ?
