Manheim Fowles have an S925 coming up for auction in Brisbanistan on 7/8 June. Sorry I haven't got the ability to put the link on here for you. :-[ Swishy and members of the S925 Society might already know this one...? And yes, she's Detroit powered to please the faithful. What's this unit worth??

They also have a nice SAR "project" coming up for sale as well. NOt sure if it was an original Gold Nugget or one done up to look like one. Doesn't need much to look good either.

Swishy, did you know that before that S model was in its current guise (and before its coloured stripes as in your pics) it was a Sydney truck and is featured on your S1 website - white with blue and red striping and a huge airfoil..........I once met the guy who originally owned it and it used to pull containers off the wharf for him.

But that is all probably old news, isn't it?

Look at the front bar and number plate holder even though the plates are different. I first saw it in this guise for sale in a car yard in the middle of Sydney near the container terminals when I was a little truck mad fella on a school excursion. Years later I met a guy named Bruce Miller and he and his brother wayne were avid Yankee car nuts like me. We were at a show and I mentioned that I was a truck enthusiast and they both owned trucks. Wayne had a W model that was black and had an extended hood fitted from the States. Bruce had a glass cab Atkinson with a home made (and neat) Aerodyne roof conversion. He said he used to have an old 'narrow nose SAR' and I told him of the one I'd seen for sale years earlier, distinctly remembering the white disc steer wheels. We realised it was the same truck. He said he had bought it and painted it white and eventually fitted the 10 stud axles and imported the original 2 piece Bud aluminium rims for the drive. When I saw it at Penrith as in your first photo (with the sleeper) the new owner had a lot of photos of it and some shots when he first purchased it and it was as tou see it above. He also showed me the bud rims that he discovered by accident when he began to strip the white paint off and I think they are still on it.
