Might help if we knew where you are, but I'd try your local bearing supplier first. Take the old one in and they might be able to match it to something they've got.

Wagga Tractors have a lot of Inter part and also worth a try.

Hi IHScout - need the entire thing, bearing, rubber and carrier. Am in Bywong NSW between Canberra and Goulburn but in this day and age it seems it doesn't matter much any more - I order things over the net and usually have them the next day.

Have managed to get specs on a lot of Tailshaft Centre Beariings and will measure up the original and see if I can modify new unit that has same size internal bore ensuring of course that the centre line of the tail shaft is in same position. I tried Central Coast Truck Spares and they checked all of their known contact to no avial. The ones available in Wagga have internal bore of 40mm wheras AB130 looks to be around 30mm (but I guess it will be imperial). I was just hoping I could get a genuine that would bolt straight in. By the way - know where I could source a new starter moter for a 345 Inter engine fitted to my 510 Acco? ::)

Thanks for the reply

Try Hartwigs in Queanbeyan for centre bearing. They have quite a few old parts books and might be able to get the part number.

Starter motors for the 345 are, I'm told, a standard Lucas common to many other applications and most auto electricians can source them. Also see them on eBay occasionally.

Hi IH Scout,

Hartwigs were the first port of call followed by several others which is why I posted the question here as a last resort. Had the starter motor to a couple of sparkies and apart from them swearing at Lord Lucas, Prince of Darkness, it seems some of the parts are no longer available. Understand some of the Scout clubs have bought in hi torque starters from the states and am chasing that up at the moment - might just be easier to have one sent from there from one of the many Scout specialists.

Thanks for your suggestions - Patrol01

The IH Scout Owners Club in Qld are the best source of parts in my experience www.internationalscoutownersclubofqld.com/Parts/products.htm
I've had mixed success buying stuff direct from the US. Often cheaper than Oz supplies even with a massive postage charge, but can get expensive if they end up sending you the wrong part. :-/ :-/
