I agree with Olddon and Mammoth about the speed. In the 60s I drove Mk3s (both the exposed radiator and tin-front models) and Mk5s in NZ; the early Mk3s with a 5-speed box would do 34mph, the later Mk3s and the Mk5s with the 6-speed overdrive box would do 58mph. The latest Mk5, fitted with the Park Royal cab in NZ, was a nice truck to drive in its day.
