As happens when I am on night shift, I discover on the great world wide web, a photo of interest...

wonder if anyone knows anything about this very tidy lady.
(Thanks to the photographer & poster..it popped up under an image search)

it is a twin for this ex wridgeways one, that my Big Bro owned and I drove.... I doubt Miss Devondale has the massive half sleeper.

Mostly this model seems to have twin headlights.

Well, that's another hour filled in.

They changed the ( English ) Mk 1 Atkinson to four headlights mid way through its run, maybe around 63. Was your Atki re registered ? Number plate looks like early 70s ?

Good spotting Det., No 2 has a 150 Gardner RTO910, exhaust underneath.
Yes Pete, re-registered, Bill bought it 1975 I think.
Paul, it was a shade slower than a 1418 Benz, but an honest plodder, pulling a Clive Bros stock crate this time, then Vaughans, he might say different as he lived in it, dirty/oily, cold/hot, noisy/draughty.... I thought driving it was awesome, couldn't get enough, then I went back to my real job.

First photo looks very much like a Warren Noakes photo ... a longtime, and legendary truck photographer

Most Atkinsons had top mounted wipers, maybe it was optional ?

I had been thinking the same thing, Werk..

I like the drivers side air inlet control! The a/c must have worked to well.

Typical driver's fix, and we are still doing them today. An earlier Aussie Atkinson ( with the two piece windscreen ) that has top mount wipers.
