From "Popular Science" Magazine. How practical, it saves your boots geting dirty from spreading it on the gravel driveway.

Greenies would have a fit! What year was that magazine? I pour mine on fence posts to stop white ants and rot. Very effective.

The waste oil collected from service stations gets used as bunker fuel in merchant ships. I don't know if it's filtered or not but burnt out at sea, out of sight out of mind, away from where it's visible.

The mob that collect It around here, Filter It & send It up to a power station in the Hunter valley. Where its sprayed onto Low grade Coal as It's fed into the Furnace..!!

A lot of waste oil is converted into diesel .........the Customs and Excise went through Solvent Services a while back for not paying the taxes on the diesel they make .........waste motor oil is good for preserving all your projects ,usually ,after a few old tractors or machines ,you be looking for more.

Waste oil is quickly broken down by bacteria and fungi in the soil..........the same ones that make the filter blocking gunk in diesel ......all the nonsense the greens spout about oil spilt is just propaganda ,sounds good to kids ...............the Sewage treatment plants dont like oil either ,it blocks their screens and pumps ,and they are not set to handle it.
