Ok got some more work done on the dodges chassis it's now all in red oxide primer ready for a rub back and paint I've decided to paint the chassis gloss black after trying some satin finish as I think the gloss will be easy to wash off dirt and crap :o I've also replaced the diff u bolts with new ones . So hopefully next weekend the chassis will be in black the next step after that will be king pins and shakel pins plus brake lines and then l drop the motor and box in followed by the cab :) cheers Bryant

A few shiny things, test fitted, always adds a bit of fun and injects a bit of inspiration to the build ;D

Looks good. Keep the updates coming!

Ok thought I'd post some progress pictures the chassis is mostly gloss black now next weekend I'll give it a quick scuff back and a final coat of white knight epoxy black , I also brought a tray of eBay perfect size it was fitted to a chev C20 pickup it just needs a coat of paint and some mudguards , also brought a 4 barrel factory cast iron inlet manafold for my little 318 with a impco 425 on a carter thermo base :) this time last year I brought the 114 now I own 3 of the buggers just to make 1 good truck but on the upside I'm going to have plenty of spares lol ;D

Awesome work mate it is looking great. The 425 impco carbie will be perfect on the 318. Gee those 318's sound great with twin side pipes.

Ok I picked up the tray today and I'm more than happy with it :) threw the tape under it and it's going to sit perfectly on the old tray mounts I'll just have to make up some L brakets to bolt it down ! The last tray was bolted metal to metal I'm thinking of using some conveyer belt rubber between the tray and were it bolts down any feed back would be appreciated . Also during last week I pulled out the front shackel pins and plates so I can replace them the plates are elongated so I'm making new ones as its a lot quicker than repairing the old ones ordered the pins of wagga tractor so hopefully next week it will be back on wheels again my plan is to have the cab back on by Christmas :) cheers Bryant
