Maggies were assembled in Yugoslavia, and Egypt, with different badges, but this one is an odd one to me.

Somebody must know about the Lady badge ?
I will find out in a couple of weeks when I go to a Maggie Rally ?

Roland, coming to this late I'll only add I have a vague feeling there's an Egyptian connection - I'm fairly sure some MD models were assembled there but they could have been TAMs. The background in the 1st pic is decidedly middle eastern...

I had a great weekend in Germany at a Maggie Rally near Nuremberg.
I saw the greatest truck I have ever seen !!!
A 1971 230D26AK.


Also at the same meeting I found the answer to my question about 'the lady', and I don't believe it !!!
I asked if anyone knew about this badge and nobody had the answer. She is Miss Veedol, and relates to the first non-stop, 'trans pacific flight', October 5 , 1931. And what amazes me is that the company is 100% Australian owned and based in Charlestown NSW !!

So... A pom asks Oz a question, he travels to Germany to get the answer that its an Oz company ? .....
It's a mad world.

I do have many pics of course, but they may cause envy ?
