Lang, I'm with Bernie, your last pic looks like a Ford.
I've since been told it is a Dodge, I looked at few Dodge pics and what threw me is the raised pressing at the top of the Radiator surround, all the pics I looked at were the same as yours with it flat.
Here's a question for you Loosley, given the practice of modifying and making things out of whatever was lying around, would you like to ask Damien if that truck turned into this one after Watt Brothers built the new cab/body.

Ford trucks used the Model A car motor on a longer heavier chassis as Model AA, beginning 1928 with wood spoke wheels the steel discs are shown for 1929.
BB model new in 1932 with same 4 cylinder motor, the V8 became an option August 1932.
Info from Ford Trucks since 1905 which is a bit misleading, after market manufacturers made adaptions to the car chassis from that date, it seems that the Ford TT truck appeared about 1915.
Cam, I guess the driver of that truck with the new body would feel better, wonder how he reached the gear lever?
David.

Sorry
Pressed the wrong image in Photobucket. You are dead right that photo is a Ford (cunningly disguised with a clear Ford badge on the radiator).
The Fargo I wanted to put up has disappeared, still looking.

Cam
I think it is a conventional double spring axle if you look carefully at the photo.

Yeh Lang, I had a bit of a better look at Loosley's pic and you can see the hangers, but what is that spring doing under there? could it be a helper? You'd think a tow truck wouldn't need any help with front axle weight, quite the opposite.
