Riverland. S.A.

Most of you will have at some time, driven through this area between driving from Adelaide to Sydney, this is not about trucks though my father and grandfather used trucks to cut and deliver wood to the steamboats that plied the Murray river, the only transport of goods through that part of the country. This is about the settlement of Moorook, not as dramatic as Boroloola but gives an idea of the hardships the WW1 returned soldiers had to establish a town, written by my Uncle Syd in his own hand.
