The D and the F are readable on the original; now with help I see the B and E too. The other letters vanish into shadow around the angle.
The logo matches that on the found TA. I haven't searched for a TD yet.

...As is usual with my photos taken for other purposes, I guess that lots of other viewers will have instant recognition.

720107F. Probably Ridgley (Tas.). Bedford TA or (more likely) TD truck. (R Smith).

It's a Bedford, Roderick. 'S type' was the model of the cabover of this model, can't remember the model of this bonneted version - I think it's a 'T' model.

Collector and admirer of ye olde crappe.  I'm interested in researching and collecting old numb

Thanks. I had tried for Bedford, but was thrown by the logo: not the gryphon with which I am familiar.
Here is a 1955 Bedford TA at a Lake Goldsmith rally:

The one in my photo looks so much at home in Tasmania 'UK in the antipodes'.

I think the lights on the mudguards make it a TD - the TA body with TJ mechanicals, only in production for a couple of years 1956-58
