Some random photos I have taken around Melbourne from the mid 70's

Thankfully no Texas Bumpers, Christmas Lights or Cannons ect to be seen back then, just trucks in their pure Australian form

Nice Ted Whitehead cabover Kw action shot.

Superb Eastoe's colour / paint scheme....

I see the trailer there with "Johns & Waygood" on it. That name seems to come up a bit in background shots on this forum. I did my apprenticeship with them (called Johns-Perry Lifts by then, now owned by Otis). Some of their lifts are still in service all over the country. Would be heaps of it in Melbourne.
I still have a few on my service run.
They built heaps of other stuff, too. Cranes, wool compactors, etc.

Jarrod.

Hard to know. I started beginning of '89, effectively still there (with Otis). I only worked in Qld. We did build the cars for some Telecom Tower ? about 1990. Apparently the bosses at Cheltenham reckoned we made the best cars, and it was a really prestige job. All cabinet-made.

I've seen it rain in and on a lift, but never snow!
Thanks for the pic.
