WW1 Mechanisation
Imagine the cost and effort in maintaining these "beasts"
Mostly steam powered & reciprocating engines but on solid rubber tyres.
Pretty amazing that these old machines still run!!
Someone has put a lot of time, effort and money into these relics, including period uniforms!!

The driver of the pusher engine gets a fail as he is off the throttle just when he needs to push the low loader to help it around the corner. Meanwhile the lead engine is not only pulling the whole lot but also putting power into getting the lead bogie on solid rubber to turn. Pretty rare to see traction engine worked to the limit on sealed roads. The poms certainly know how to do heritage well.

I love the sound of a steam engine working hard. Too often these days they are just idling around with barely a whisper
