Anyone know where I can find a listing of engine numbers for Chevrolet cars and light trucks?? We have quite a few and it would be handy to have a reference to help date them.
It also occurs to me that some of those old trucks had a mix of components. I have a Chev (about 30 cwt) that appears to have a 1928 National engine, the headlights are bullet shaped as in the '27 Capitol and it has spark and throttle controls like a '26 Superior. Weird.
Anyway, engine number lists would be a good start. Can't find any on the 'net.

Had no luck with the VCCA site. The Stovebolt site I had never heard of, but it was interesting. Some great pics in their gallery, but didn't find those old chev engine numbers.
I think they were once printed in a Restored Cars Magazine years ago, but my copy is long lost.
