The Leyland badge on it dates from the 1946 to 1954 model.
Nice bit of hunting and detective work, well done

...I'm pretty sure Austin and Morris were under the BMC banner, then the whole lot swallowed up by British Leyland ?

...just looking around the edges of the old girl makes me think the cab conversion may've been based on an FFK cab

Well the only Albion corresponding with that configuration (6X4, medium-duty chassis) during that period was the Clansman (see pic below), so I'm lost as to why the cab was set forward that much on all the hassle of moving the steering column/box forward, fabricating an extra long steering arm etc. but perhaps the owners could provide the missing info. Oh, I agree it's an Austin windscreen, too.

PS: Regardless of the above, it's actually a nice uprating, it does look almost factory, and resembles the Kiwi Taylor-Hull cabs (pic from the Atkinson thread, I think by fageol100):

...just going by the earlier post by CO4070, simple deduction says she was a Leyland Octopus.....and we can only presume the front steer axle having been removed at the same time the flash new cab was fitted ??

I hear what you say, but he also mentioned chassis was Albion and it just does not look heavy enough to be an Octopus?

I think this one is an Albion Reiver from the 60's, not sure about the screen being from an FFK though, maybe 50's Ford or GMC?
