Question; Albert Toll and first truck. was created by Standen
Just a question straight out of the blue. Does anyone have any info on when Albert Toll bought his first truck?

Toll Used to have their own Museum with some of their Old Equipment on Display... NFI if Japan Post still have It.. Or Not..
It was at Newcastle But they built a new one In Melbourne (Altona).
This is all that Google can come up with..

That Albion went through s few hands. I found it and did it up then contacted Toll who bought it from me. I delivered it to their depot in Wagga and organised another parts truck from Corowa. It is now fully restored and in their private family museum. I can not find a photo although they sent me one.
This is on the way to Wagga then going on to the big military show at Corowa with the Dodge. The tray is off a GMC just chained to the Albion to carry the Dodge. I never measured the height but it may have been marginal.

I just saw your reference.
When they bought my truck and 12 months later when they sent me the finished photo I dealt with an original Toll family member. I got the impression this vehicle was just for them and not a company PR thing (although the company must have paid about $100,000 for the 100% concourse restoration). I may well be wrong. Wonder if that museum ever saw light of day?
