I can remember mid to L8 60's
went to pick up an old excavator for a regular customer
it had 2 new operators from NuuZeeland

they told me they came to Au to purchas a new car each (top range much sort after car in NZ)
work here for 12months and ship there car back home to NZ


Kiwi'z hang on to ol trucks to repower or personlize to do the job @ hand

Hayseed, great idea of styling too, IMO, to match up those components.

Swishman that was very common

Im pretty sure they had to live here for 12 months to be exempt

A lot of people would come here and work from fruit picking to buy a car with the intent of going home but loved the extra money so stayed
