Hello All
Now I know it's the wrong forum, and I may get slagged for it but I just saw a TV show where I live that showed these two blokes together. Never seen that before, despite their achievements. And that's a whole other neglected story.
Repco and all that.
Engine gearbox diff development in all classes of vehicle owes a lot to blokes like these.
Hooray :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Hi Detecta, Sorry can't help with that one, but you'd be surprised where people turn up.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Tauranac
Did the Wiki thing, but I believe that's not reliable.
Cheers :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Hi Tired, I'm a great fan of Ron Tauranac and the RALT race cars he built when in the UK. Any chance of remembering the name of the tv show you saw him and Jack on so I can Google it?

Thanks Tired, thanks for the reply. You were quite correct, it did appear on Wide Open Road on the ABC. I can't view it online but can buy the DVD apparently.

I appreciate the information though.

Hi all , I am new at this --- their is a very good book on Ron Truranac it takes you back to his early days and his very first home built race cars . I currently own a ralt rt3 but also own a 1977 toyota dyna RU12 2 ton 5r motor swb 10ft tray with tieman lift & dual wheels . I would like to know if it has any value it is not in bad order.

Check out "Motor Mate" I think its on 7mate but unfortunatly its on during the day.

Saw it today by chance and they had Ron Tauranac and the Brabham team on featuring the 1970 F1 season. Tim Schenken was driving the Brabham then too.

Those who don't know Tim, he is now usually the Clerk of Course for the V8 supercars rounds
