Norling had a workshop not to far up the road from the Inter factory @ Dandenong
Inter sold trucks "AsIs"
Many wanted specd up trucks
Norling filled the gap
a new inter delivered to Norling
n as above Truck modified to suit customer
V6-53 Screemer - Allison Auto - 3 speed joey box
just 2 name a few of the mods dun by Norling

Seeing your on a roll answering dumb questions Swishy, how to you go about changing an auto in conjunction with a 3spd manual joey? do you just select a ratio in the joey then let the auto do is thing?

Now U got me guess n
uncle Dez liked the auto n the 3 speed joey box coz when on site to unload concrete from his agitator into a kerb n channel machine he found the auto + low cog in de joey twaz ideal n much appreciated by the pay n customer
guess n out side the square
when u max out in Allison take foot off go pedal n change joey into hi when torque released off drive train
just like change n with out clutch

When doing kerbing hated manuals especially goweing up hill because when standing on 8 by 2 jammed in chaises to shoveling dry mix down cute and truck jerked forward wood lose balance and full off usually rear end first in to kerbbers hopper more times than i like to remember

Looks like it has the wide 10'000lb axle as used in the late D5N Dodge and also the flares to cover the now wider wheel track.

old scrapman know where you are coming from i work part time at a mini- mix yard and when you are feeding a kerber after you have been on the clutch (ceramic) half a dozen times and it decides to stick on what a nightmare tried to convince boss to get an auto in new hino mixer it was a big NO extra $13,000 cheers whale

I no about being short of money but autos rule in the concrete game old boss had a white v6-53 +allison but being oldest truck in fleet stopping wasn't good eventually sold out to pioneer
