Hi Greame, Ian Lee did an article origonally for the ATHS, not sure if they used it, but I used it in the Heritage Hauler last year. Gives a bit of info on it, but not too comprehensive.
If you want a read I uploaded it, the link will only last about a week.

Thank you very much. Six cylinder Hiroshima Screamer and twin stacks. She would have sounded something.
Shame it is rotting away in a paddock. Would be good if some local enthusiast could grab the remains and put under cover for maybe future display in a transport museum. Bit of history here.
We had here in Canberra a D series Ford single drive prime mover pulling a TNT pantech. She had a UD4 under her. Man, you could hear it coming for miles. Beautiful sound.

RFW# 042 (8x2) was built with a 5 cyl UD. Last known near Pyramid Hill Vic.

I would be interested in tracking down RFW #042. I have heard that the UD5 had a sound of their own. Any members know of the RFW at Pyramid Hill Victoria?

Many years ago in Townsville a bloke put a UD5 into a Looslybuilt tipper, you could hear it coming for miles, straight through muffler, the driver always wore earmuffs!

I was told of a R200 with a 5cyl UD motor in it out on a station near Meekathara.
May need to have a peek one time.
