HTAA Rocklea Show (16th/17th May) - run from Melb

North along the Newell - HTAA Rocklea Show



On the weekend of the 16th & 17th of May, The HTAA have their Annual Show at the Rocklea Showgrounds.
Also on this weekend is the New Vehicle Exhibition in Brisbane.

The idea is to have a Private Run ( No costs involved) from Melbourne to Brisbane via the old

This one is sneaking up Braggsy. I had better hurry up & get the Dodge back together. I have booked a load of aeroplane glider motors for my 38ft trailer, just have to borrow a tarp for this job

Now the Hume run is done and dusted , and what a great run it is .
Anyone wanting a long distance run , this will be a good one.
Some people are driving up , some are meeting us up there via the Kero-kite. Some are joining up on the way.
Not big numbers of peoples , but it's not meant to be
Just a social run for those that enjoy the old truck hobby (financial loss).
Have a think about the enjoyment of three easy days on the road with your mates!!!

Fuel vouchers on offer if anyone can pick up a Thornycroft chassis/motor (light but ugly freight) from near Queanbeyan for drop off along the way or Brissy.

Had a phonecall last night from the organizers of the Rocklea show , wondering about how many trucks are coming up from down south.....As the Brizzie side of Big Rigs are doing an article on the show...
At this stage possibily about 6...

W/shop bay has been extended this week to get the Dodge refurbish back underway from next Monday. Tailshaft man has the new propellant stick in his balancing machine, engine mounts are hopefully not too far away, (ex the States). The radiator man has re-cored h/duty radiator that will hopefully cater for the bigger squirters in the little 53.
A lot is going on behind the scenes to get the rig back on the road for this big trip.
