Proposed: Mornington Heritage Festival 2011

The Mornington Railway Preservation Society is looking at running a Heritage Festival to coincide with the 70th Birthday of it's operating Steam Locomotive K163 over the weekend from March 19 - 20 2011.


We are looking for expressions of interest from owners of historic and/or vintage vehicles and machinery who would be interested in participating.

Specifically, we want to run a connecting bus shuttle, from the Metro Railway Station at Baxter to our station at Moorooduc. Are there any members who own a registered historic bus suitable for this operation? The railway would consider chartering the bus.

Hi, There are already a multitude of events on that weekend. some of them are
Kyabram vintage display and truck show
Bookar Vintage Display
ATHS Truck show at Lancefield
Warrandyte Festival

and that is what I know of from memory - without consulting magazines

So your non-gunzel audience may be limited to some locals etc. I am not saying not to go ahead but to be aware of the competition for vehicle and vintage machinery exhibits that weekend
