Did anyone have a good look at the Butterbox ACCO with the integrated sleeper? What engine does it have? It's not just a Butterbox cab fitted onto a later model chassis? I see it around Melbourne every few months in my travels, but I never see it when it's stationary!
Here is a photo of it that Chocs has taken
I bet Sarge ran the tape measure over it, in case he picks up some interstate work with his rocket and needs to make a few mods.

Stu,
Was in conversation with the old and new owners (the deal had been done but the truck changed hands Saturday).
Here's one for Atkipete it was an American Built Acco. It was built in the late 1970's/early 1980's (I forgot the year I was told both78 and 82 ring bells). It was bought out here and converted to RHD then run on roads earnng money for 20 years. If you look inside it has a wrap-around dash. That was cut into three parts and reassembled as a mirror of the original to suit the RHD Configuration. Its original color was read and original donk was a 6V53. After that my memory fails me sorry.
I do know the new owner. It is moving from Dandenong to the Murray River so I may try to track him down to get some more answers. He intends to hang onto it as he has been chasing it for a while

I wonder if Inter built it to send to America but it stayed here????
It is a great peice of engineering, but some blokes on here do that sort of thing every day...
I will be looking forward to more installments Bruce...
Yes Stu, I gave it a good once over, but the Red single drive P/mover is more likely....

Great bunch of pic's; and now for the questions.
A bit of info please on
The green and white Inter between the green Volvo and the yellow Ford D series
The green bogie (or lazy axle) traytop CH1494 with Pollard on the door.
The black and chrome Yank-tank ute that looks too good to ever get dirty.
Cheers Geoff
Tacho,
The green truck is a 1948 Fordson Sussex 7V tandem drive,1937-48 with a 85 B.H.P. (mostly dead) sidevalve Ford V8, ex Sandhurst Brick Co.Bendigo. One of only about 20 to be imported and sold by Mc Grath Trailers through Ford dealers.(in Victoria at least) and the only restored one.
The back axle set up was built by County Commercial. England for Ford form their parts bin with very few non standard parts, and dates back to the 1932 B B model
