JB, well said Mate. Anything that raises the "Positive" profile of the Vintage vehicle movement has got to be a GOOD thing. As was shown by the "Haulin the Hume" run, lots of good publicity was gained. Other than the people directly involved there would have been unseen spinoff for the shops along the way & I'm sure the Yass community benefited financially. Cheers Tim.

Hey Swishy might not be far off the possibility!

A mate of mine has done up a 3 speed foden like that with rubbers etc. plus high gearing. Not sure what speed it will top out at but it might give the old bedford a scare!

However the Foden might go through more water and the fuel might be bit more expensive (plenty of black coal!)

at least the Foden will be good for starting fires along the way : : and the other thing about it might scare a BEDFORD is this a changlle in the making . .Dave

Sorry to anyone who got upset about my last comments on this subject, l agree that it doesn't make any difference on what club runs what event the whole story is to get the old girls out on the road and shows for the public to see. l went up the Hume Friday night and up Pretty Sally and travelled to Kerang. The Diamond T was screaming its guts out with the GM in full flight. Came home Sunday night to join in the traffic back to Melbourne. The Hume is rough in a single drive prime mover so if your going bobtail .l would carry a bit of weight on the back. Podge.
