I've searched high and low across the 'net and cannot find any charts re ratios for these gearboxes.
Mine is a 0503-014. Does anyone know what ratios this would be?
C'mon Swishy. This is your big chance ;D

Hi Rod
I have a factory CM GLX 4 speed and i also have the factory manual for it!
which it lists the ratios as follows
1st: 3.32:1
2nd: 2.00:1
3rd: 1.43:1
4th: 1.00:1
Also i am pretty sure that the fords of the era had a different set of ratios in them. but i know for sure they have a different shifter location.

regards
Blake

disregard the ratios in the last post i have a Valiant book by Elizabeth Tuckey and Ewan Kennedy which lists the ratios for a VJ 4 speed charger as:
1st 2.82
2nd 1.84
3rd 1.32
4th 1.00
reverse : 2.65

sorry for the confusion

regards
Blake

Thanks guys. I am now a certified CRAFT member. Yesterday I found my copy of "Hey Charger" and guess what - the ratios are in the back.

OK - now to bare my soul :( how many of you do this, go to a book store, see a fantastic old motoring book that you need, buy it, take it home, go to put it on your bookcase and lo and behold already sitting there is another copy. >:(
