It's called a Driftrunner I believe, it is an underground shuttle car that moves the coal miners from top to under and back again; weighs a bundle, almost an armoured car, bloody expensive, and there is plenty of them that don't last all that long in that environment.
That one is on its way for a refurb that can easily cost $100k

I believe TRB has hit the nail on the head.
They are Built / Rebuilt just up the road at Tomago / Newcastle NSW. I have dropped a container or two there within the last few years. They look pretty heavy duty up close.

I haven't looked that close, but I believe they have all electric's and exhaust to suit Hazardous Area Reg's, that's all Flame proof / Explosion Protected Switchgear, Spark arrestor exhaust, that sort of thing.
All Gas proof gear as they are usually underground in the Coal mines

Probably a backload. I see monster floats up here all the time, coming up from Brisbane with big Cat dump trucks and heading back with a wee little Hilux or two.
