Hi Truckers, Oh, maybe, that's too familiar just now?
I'm a (young) man who sees the reflection of himself in a shop window, that looks like his father and can't believe I'm really that old!!
I served an apprenticeship as a Diesel Mechanic in the early 1960's with a Leyland Motors Main Distributor in the UK.
Since then I've worked on Trucks, Buses, Marine Engines, Ships, Locomotives and specialised Industrial Processing Equipment.
Now, I've got a touch of nostalgia for the 'old Days', before, I get too old to be bothered, as I've observed with those 20 years or so older than me.
Not all, mind you!
I'd say that I was experiencing that time of life where things change and one is faced with one's own mortality!
If I was rich enough, I'd call it 'Menoporche'!
I usually escape reality by going on my PC and Flying Planes or driving Trains, Ships or Trucks.
All the slow passive stuff, of course.
However, occasionally, I enjoy the types of war games involving Ships and Submarines (and the odd Prop Plane).
I look forward to getting involved in this site and reading the interesting yarns and comments.
Thanks and all the best!

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"
