Usually the chains arent a problem,its the hole in a bit of 1/4 plate on the towbar is the weak link......still ,its an object lesson in actually attaching the safety chains,instead of a quick wrap over drawbar.........Imagine hanging over the river knowing you hadnt done up the chains properly?

Like the way that shackles have to colour coded Read some where that is in regard to service / Testing
