Ahhhh that's how its done. That still looks a whole lot easier and faster than a cherry picker though. I guess however from a OH&S perspective there is a human at risk of popping a poofer valve. Perhaps we won't need muscles for work in the future, but I bet injuries claims keep escalating.

I watched a couple of guys replace the globes in a few lights down the local soccer car park a couple of months ago, all freshly installed a couple of years ago, in exactly the same manner as shown in the video so they are still in use and being installed. Looked a lot easer than messing around with a picker or scissor lift.

It is quicker and easier, in these days of OH&S, SWMS and JSEA and all those other letters that make people feel important

Big companies dont like this style of thing as they can't pas the blame on

Small Mum and Dad electricians like it because it is quick and simple and can be done without any special gear

Sadly those days of common sense are passing us by today
