the specialist, you missed a good night , but looks like you were haveing more fun :o
that is one lucky bike rider ,nothing ever comes out well if it hits a truck , he must of been flung off to the side to still be alive , leaning in on the corner and over the bars , either that or he fell off before the truck , lucky man to be alive

Indeed. Lucky, lucky boy.

Interestingly, going by the debris trail and the photo looking down the direction og where the truck came from, I'd argue the bike was either on the line or over it.

Big powerful bikes and young blokes full of invincibility and an enthusiastic throttle hand, are a recipe for disaster.
A wise old hospital matron told me once, that the stats are .. if you're under 25, male, and own a bike over 750cc, your chances of seeing the age of 30 are about 50% .. :(

I've seen any amount of blokes do what this bloke has done, and they scraped their carcasses off the road.
On the Perth-York road, a nice windy stretch, two blokes took themselves out, one after the other, in precisely the same manner .. running wide on curves that were a bit tighter than anticipated.

I've driven some fast machines. I had a V8 Holden when I was young, that would do 240kmh, and I used to love pedal-to-the-metal driving.
I've hammered big motorbikes on open roads to 290 kmh. This is great fun when everything is going well .. but things can go wrong very quickly at those speeds.
One of the major things that catches everybody out, is .. a bend that is a nice cruisy curve at 110kmh .. gets horribly sharp, when you're doing 160 or 180 or 200kmh.
Things get mighty busy about then, as your cheeks clench the seat, and a combination of luck and some driving skill, is generally all that sees you survive.

If this bloke wasn't doing way, way, over the limit, I'm a monkeys uncle. All it takes is a momentary wrap of that throttle, and you can be 50 or 80 kays over the limit in seconds.
Add in a nice curve, and you're way over the centre line before you know it.

I wonder if this bloke has learnt his lesson? Many don't, they don't get a second chance.
I've got too many friends full of steel plates, from high-powered bike crashes, to ever want to own one, or travel at excessive speed again.
However, the big bike lure of incredible power and high speeds, is a constant magnet for young males, and I don't see anything changing, soon.

that all motor cycle accidents go to the end of the line at a casualty ward , the only way to further back from there is if the motorcyclist had been drinking.....

The Walcha - Gloucester road is a fantasic drive with little traffic and policing. I think it was the local SES put a sign up at the start of the bike run which said basically "We know you are gunna go nuts but just remember there is no mobile coverage and you'll be waiting hours for rescue". I think the honesty of the sign was too near the mark and it was taken down. That section has lots of bends which tighten up or has a Mack jinker creeping down hill in low low just round a blind corner.
I spent 25 years on bikes all year round in London/UK (Lots speeding fines, & holes in leather jackets) and first broken bone was when I started mucking around with trucks!?
