Cummins Signature 15 litre T650

Up to removing the cylinder head, the on line service manual says a special tool is required for removal of injectors, could we make one?
Reason for the query, on first start after a couple of months standing coolant was low and one tight compression on winding over, a lot of vapour from breather when getting up to temperature and then ran OK. Next morning same uneven compression on first start.
Oil level normal and no moisture in rocker or timing gear covers, exhaust ports look all the same.
What is the coolant? it doesn't mix with oil.

Hi Wooo yoooo,
If your coolant is not mixing with the oil, then don't be too surprised - many coolant and hybrid coolants won't mix with oil these days. I have even seen some of the new fully synthetic oils reject water !
Correct diagnosis is what you are doing David - open heart surgery; head gaskets and heads require special attention, and don't forget to have a long hard look at every bore/liner.
