Tilt Tray Question was created by ianoz
On our DAF tilt tray it has a tray lock. Is this required by law ? The piece on the tray is held on with a couple of pins and is removeable ..Judging by he dents in the Fuel tank Brackets ,it is easy to get wrong dropping the tray down too early .. Can we remove it ,or is it a nessassary evil ?

Is it the old arm type? If it is it should be right. If it's a tilt ans Slide you need it to tie the tray down to the chassis so when you are hooking along at a great rate of knots and chuck it into a corner with a heavy load on it wont do devious things.

Give me a call at work if you like Ian, I'm not back untill Thursday but.

If it has seperate rams for the lift as to the slide you can put a mechanical lock out on it if the valve is mounted the right way.
