cargo gearbox

Hey fellas got a new problem today lost third gear in the cargo six speed box no noise just not able to select third or reverse any ideas

The linkage is probobly loose.

checked that first hoping for easy fix. My thoughts are that it is a broken selector or shafteither way box has to come out

Why is this in modern truck, 1980's is a old truck now. Mate used to have a cargo with tipper on it. Gear stick was like a stick in a bucket full of porridge when it came to gettin gears.

Sorry hardtopman,but do the sums they were produced up to around 91 so they do fall under this catergory. As ive been told before why would you own one of those buckets of shite i Guess they are right if youy can afford to buy a T650 or the likes. For anyone interested I found found to half gears in the box today never new i had have never seen a gear broken completely in half if anyone has a six speed box out there for sale let me know.

The six speed in the D series and the Cargo had one similarity third was never in the same place twice well that's what I found even when new.

Don't suppose you know anybody with a workshop manual for a 1990 Cargo 2421 for a buy or borrow to copy? Just got myself a big Tilt and have a few minor issues with electrics and air. Running a 3208T with Allison 5 speed slushy.
