a silly question here with a auto truck and cruise control they go "flatstick" trying to keep speed on a hill etc? or just use a maximum rpm limit (eg 300rpm under redline ?)

The program for the gearbox is pretty good it's very smooth in feeding the power in when changing on hills, the only time it holds and won't change up is coming out of the dipper southbound the road levels out to a very slight incline and it won't change into top until redline, most auto trucks seem to be the same there. It's got 93000 k's and due for it's 2nd service next week (45000 service interval) haven't had to top up oil and getting 2.2 k's per litre uses about 100 litres of ad-blu for 5 syd-melb legs. The down side anything goes wrong it's onto the volvo man and his laptop, but for this job it's great ... Peter
