Old truck spotting day was created by Bonester
Today must have been the day to spot old working trucks. Heading down to Mortimer Rd in Acacia Ridge to do a job I spotted a white TK Bedford tipper with low sides carrying a load of corrugated roof sheets coming over the bridge near Evans Rd, Moorooka. I think it pulled in at Imperial Truck Sales or the servo next door.
On the way back north about an hour later on Beatty Rd I happened to glance down Boundary Rd and saw another TK Bedford - white cab with blue markings pulling out of a business. I think it had some long lengths of steel on the back.
A bit later after having got fuel at Aspley I was coming off the Bruce Highway and joining Strathpine Rd at Bald Hills and I caught up with a late-ish looking white Dodge 300 flatbed with dual rear wheels driven by an elderly gent. Badge on the front guard said 318 Heavy Duty.
Timing is everything.
