Exactly what It SAYS.............

The GROSS load on the Road is SIX Tonnes...

However if you're picking up or delivering along that Road you're exempt...

It means nothing over 6 tonne 2 B on this road
UNLESS:
Ure a passenger bus, Fire truck, Garbage collection truck, Police booze bus, Local council truck, Trucks deliverin hot bitchumen to place on Rd
Main reason is the Local counciler lives on this Rd n wot he sez goes

If the maximum permitted gross weight of your vehicle or combination then you can not drive down that road even if you are empty unless you fit one of the exemptions swishy mentioned. So I can not drive my AR162 down there empty without a permit as its gross weight is over 9 tonnes even through it is around 4 tonnes empty

Speaking from experience >:(, the sign means what ever the council ranger who follows you & then sends you a ticket in mail thinks it means. That could be anything that weighs over 6T at the time, or anything that has a GVM of 6T or more even it only weighs 4T.
The joys of trucking ::) ::)

If the TWU (Totally worthless Union) had any guts, they would have nipped this light traffic road rubbish in the bud, and said" Ok you can have a light traffic road, BUT NO VEHICLE IS EXEMPT. Meaning no garbage trucks, no delivery trucks no buses, no fire tenders etc etc etc. And see how long the light traffic road signs lasted.

You forgot, and if said road becomes gravel you can always tell where the counciler lives by 400 meters of bichumenon each side of his drive way.
