No mudguard so she would be looking pretty grubby before long.

That exhaust does not help, think of the backpressure from the  rush of on-coming air.

True, but a minor issue when put against losing an elbow to those wheel cleats

I notice she has this sussed out with her lean to the left.

I wonder if he has a quick release lever, to cast her adrift, should she start carrying on in such a manner as suggested by Lang.

There'll be no Right Hand Turns either, judging by how close that sidecar frame is to the Front wheel...!!

You mean the side car is attached to the tractor?

I thought, looking at the driver, he had mowed down the motorbike.

 

I don't think the sidecar is connected to the tractor, just set up for the photo .

After looking carefully at the photo (taken at Alexandria according to the Library of Victoria) the car is attached. You can see the top arm going up to the tractor and bottom arm behind (non-interfering) the front wheel.. I think steering would be OK. The sidecar has a pointed nose which I think would clear the front wheel. My guess anyhow.
