Tim - The first pic was taken from inside the pretty dark lean-to, looking out into brilliant sunlight. I used the flash, but my old digital camera is getting a bit clagged, I think.
The second pic was taken from outside, and it certainly came out better.
I have no idea what the colour is called, I didn't even find out the blokes name who's restoring the SAR. The colour is a very deep maroon.
I can give you a phone number if you like, that is the shed owners son, and the main man there .. he might be able to find out the colour for you.
