Correct Dash Box for E27N tractor was created by chrisandliso
Hi, I have a 1949 E27N. Am just wondering If there is a correct dash/instrument box to use for my model. It is a petrol/kero engine.
I have both kidney shape dash box and the larger square type.
The larger one has the starter button as well as the voltage regulator on/in it. Where are these items mounted if I use the kidney style box?
Thanks,
Chris

Gday Chris,
This i am certain of lol,
The "square" type instrument box was introduced in March 1949.
With the "kidney" type, the regulater was located on the gear lever side of the firewall and the starter button beleive it or not was located at the starter itself.
Cheers mate,
Slim
