I don't think they have ever made a super reliable grease gun..
Specially if you use it on a very regular basis..
I know a few blokes that wouldn't know which end to grab!
Tried all sorts here..
Most unreliable from day one was an air operated blue one..
Best long term one..an orange one..

If you have employees. They think there's a snake in them. Steer clear of rechargable battery one in my oppinion. Flat battery....... no grease. (especially if you have employees).McNaught trigger models do well for me. Bearings + fertilizer spreader = plenty of grease.

Baz, I've had no luck with McNaught as they bypass grease past the piston and seem to do it again soon after fitting a kit. Of the other brands, I've found Telcalemit the best, cast head and strong canister with good trigger action and pressure.

McNaught,
Accept no substitute but be aware they are offering a cheap line as well... (bin them after a one year warranty) they have to compete with the import crap.
Yes you can still buy parts... they're designed to be overhauled... no planned obsolescence here:D I've just kitted my grandfathers mini gun... it must have done 35 years of farm service and the pump that goes in the bucket is still fine.
cheers
